Turkish media (Milliyet, Karar) reported that 13 kilometers away from Kars, the coastal church near Mezra village was brutally attacked by treasure hunters. According to the published information, the vandals dug the foundation of the church, damaged the walls so brutally that the building is in danger of a final collapse.
