A row of youths under 27 face issues on their way to Armenia from the Russian Federation, following the call of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, to return to Armenia and take up military service.
“The citizens alert that when returning from Russia they face issues crossing the border. Or issues arise in airports of the Russian Federation or other CIS countries,” informed Lieutenant Colonel of the Police of the Republic of Armenia, Khachik Muradyan.
“I mean the checkpoints and airports of those countries. They are not allowed to return. To ease that burden we advise to inform the bodies having the respective liability about the return in advance – both the regional Police of the Republic of Armenia and the consulate of the Republic of Armenia to the given country,” he continued.
Khachik Muradyan also advised to inform the Police of Armenia of the return prior to buying the flight tickets: “Their welcome will be organized properly. As it is known, they will not be arrested.”
