Leader of the “Heritage” Party Raffi Hovannisian welcomes Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that Artsakh should return to the negotiation table. “The so-called “Madrid Principles” (the compromise paper) should be reviewed because Artsakh has its territorial integrity. Any fact that questions that and Artsakh’s sovereignty cannot be put on the negotiating table”, stated Raffi Hovannisian at a press conference.
According to Raffi Hovannisian, it is still necessary to clarify what documents the Armenian new government is going to negotiate around over the Artsakh issue.
In response to the question whether what kind of negotiator Nikol Pashinyan is and what negotiator the third president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan was, Raffi Hovannisian said: “One was negotiating without the people’s trust and vote, the other negotiates with a vote of trust through the civic activism of the people”.
