Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Paola Severino, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Corruption.
The Prime Minister attached importance to the furtherance of cooperation with the OSCE in different dimensions, including the fight against corruption. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the fight against corruption is one of his government’s top priorities, and the Executive will continue to take consistent steps in that direction. At the same time, the Premier noted that Armenia is keen to share experience with international partners in order to get support in this sphere.
Welcoming the Government’s anticorruption effort, Paola Severino expressed conviction that they would be effective. She stressed that the OSCE is prepared to closely cooperate with the Armenian authorities, including the Ministry of Justice, in a bid to assist the Government with the implementation of anticorruption reforms.
The interlocutors expressed confidence that the planned reforms would help curb the corruption risks, which will in turn help improve the business environment and attract foreign investment.
