Answering the question of Aravot.am at the press conference, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Russia has levers to prevent the resumption of hostilities in the region, and added that he does not want to believe that Russia will not use those levers. The Prime Minister did not agree with our observation that the meeting between the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation showed that Russia wants to revive the notorious “Lavrov plan”, and in case of rejecting it, it threatens Armenia with war.
A few days ago, the Prime Minister talked about military and political tensions on the border. We asked whether there is any dynamics of change in the situation. Nikol Pashinyan replied that tension may increase or decrease slightly day by day: it does not mean anything, the overall military-political tension is huge.
