A brawl took place between the members of the pro-Kurdish “People’s Democratic Party” and ruling “Justice and Development Party” in the Turkish Parliament.
The tension arose after a deputy of the pro-Kurdish party accused the ruling party of illegally occupying power. “You respond with aggressiveness to those who talk the truth. Your immorality… “, said the deputy. After these words, the ruling party members headed towards the pro-Kurdish party members. They tried to hinder the deputy to end his speech, which was followed by a brawl. Acting Chairman of Turkish Parliament Mustafa Shentof had to give a 5-minute break.
The pro-Kurdish MP was punished after the incident. He was deprived of the right to participate in the upcoming two sessions of the Turkish Parliament. As a sign of protest, several MPs from the pro-Kurdish party left the parliament hall.
