President Armen Sarkissian visited the construction site for the Hrant Matevossian center-museum near the Abobian Square in Yerevan and observed the construction works.
Accompanied by the son of the renowned writer David Matevossian, the President toured the site. David Matevossian showed him the accomplished works, presented the layout and the concept of the center-museum, and its mission. It was noted that activities of the center-museum will be directed not only at the preservation and dissemination of the Hrant Matevossian literary legacy but also of the Armenian culture and literature in general.
President Sarkissian stressed the importance of the works aimed at the preservation and propagation of the great writer’s literary heritage, completion of the works on the center-museum in 2020, by the 85th birth anniversary of the author.
“It is important that people have a little Ahnidzor here, that they can come to interact with the great Master’s work, his life and creations,” President Armen Sarkissian said.
