MP from Turkish opposition pro-Kurdish party, “People’s Democratic Party” (HDP) of Armenian descent, Garo Paylan has made another publication on Twitter in support of American clergyman, Andrew Branson, arrested in Turkey. The latter is accused of having connection with institutions that Turkey considers terrorist.
“The persistence of keeping clergyman Andrew Branson as a hostage under nonsensical accusations will harm the country greatly. It will lead to the sanctions by the USA against us,” reads the post.
Let us remind you that lately American high ranking officials have threatened Turkey with a set of sanctions if Ankara does not free Branson.
Paylan had previously addressed to Branson’s case as well. He had blamed Turkish authorities for engaging the clergyman in their “dirty deals”.
