By July 1, 2018, primary population number decreases by 10.100 in Armenia

The number of permanent population of the Republic of Armenia has decreased by 10.100 in the past 5 months of the current year as compared to their number of the same period of the previous year. National Statistical Service (NSS) published the indicators of the permanent population of the Republic of Armenia from January to June, 2018.

As reported by NSS, by July 1, 2018, the number of the permanent population of the Republic of Armenia constituted 2 million 969.800. And in the same period of 2017, the number of the permanent population of the Republic of Armenia made up 2 million 979.900.

Moreover, by July 1, 2018, the number of urban permanent population constituted 1 million 894.400, and rural one – 1 million 75.400. By July 1, 2017, the number of urban permanent population constituted 1 million 898.000, and rural one – 1 million 81.900.

The number of urban permanent population has decreased in the Republic by 3600,and the rural one by 6500, by July 1.
