Ermenihaber.am. “Hrant Dink” foundation of Istanbul has published its regular report dedicated to the analysis of the manifestations of hostility against different ethnic and religious groups in Turkish media. Pursuant to the report, 3076 statements involving hatred and hostility against 76 different groups have been published by Turkish media from January to April 2018.
2265 articles and news were published targeting ethnic and religious groups in the mentioned time. Armenians, Greek, and Jews have appeared in the target of Turkish media.
During the mentioned four months Armenians were targeted mainly in the publications dedicated to Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and labeled as an ethnic group inclined to violence, blamed for secretly supporting the groups or individuals declared as Turkey’s “enemies”, Armenian ASALA has been declared as a source of terrorism in line with “Kurdistan Workers’ Party” (PKK), a terrorist group in Turkey.
