August 10,2018 16:33

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the economic indices at the government session, noting that official statistics have recorded positive trends. The economic activity index was 9.6 percent in June this year, and in the first half of the year, it was 8.9 percent.

“The revolution, these political changes, have not only not affected the economy, though it usually is so, on the contrary, they have brought some economic activity. It is conditioned by objective and subjective factors, first of all, the harvest was fine in the agricultural field this year, and the real estate and construction fields are also active. Our policy is to encourage this, not to impede the legal development of the economy, and to contribute to it. Thus we look before we leap in the economy”, said the Prime Minister.

According to Nikol Pashinyan, an investor is free of any corruption obligation in Armenia, he will not face any obstacles if he works in the legal field, and law enforcement bodies will hold accountable all those who will expose a corruption commitment to any investor. “Armenia is a country where one can achieve great results through a literate and consistent work”, he said.  The government, in turn, according to Nikol Pashinyan, will assist entrepreneurs.

Referring to the activities of the State Revenue Committee, the complaints for the penalties for not providing cash control machine receipts, the Prime Minister said, that the message was clear from the very beginning, the government and anyone can expect that each citizen himself adopts a law-abiding policy from the very beginning: “If it is said that the cash control machine receipts should be provided, then those should. Our citizens should be sure that the money paid to the state budget is spent efficiently”.

The Prime Minister urged the State Revenue Committee to carry out their work the way so that the citizens do not suspect injustice again: “If someone suspects and then makes sure that he is treated differently than others, we will face problems. Our policy is not to punish, but to continue the dialogue with citizens to maintain legitimacy”.
