In an interview with reporters after the government session, Sasun Khachatryan, head of the Special Investigation Service of Armenia did not publicize information on whether Hovik Abrahamyan was invited for interrogation or not, as, according to him, it is a secret of the preliminary investigation. He only noted that Hovik Abrahamyan was not indicted. “In case of an indictment, the information will be published”.

In response to the question whether what is the status of Hovik Abrahamyan’s brother, Henrik Abrahamyan, from whose property those weapons were found, Mr. Khachatryan said that he is a suspect: “He is suspected in illegal possession of weapons”. Asked whether there is information that besides the army and internal troops, there were other armed groups too on March 1, he replied that the version is under investigation now.

In response to the question whether he thinks that Hovik Abrahamyan’s supporters were also among those groups, Khachatryan said that it is being examined. Asked whether Serzh Sargsyan will also be invited for interrogation, Mr. Khachatryan answered that all those who might have information on the case will be invited for interrogation.
