As we have already informed, the Criminal Court of Appeals has examined the petition for the release of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan. After an 8-hour session, one of Kocharyan’s defenders, Hayk Alumyan, told reporters that the hearing was postponed.
Alumyan said that the second president has attended the court session and has spoken: “He spoke and spoke brilliantly. I even think that it makes sense to publish a part of what he said because he brought quite well-grounded arguments on both the case and the indictment”.
Kocharyan’s defender Aram Orbelyan also said that the second president continues to insist that he is innocent and has not changed his position.
