The representatives of Armenia have proposed to make amendments to the Charter of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), under which that country will be presented by Armenia in CSTO Security Council, writes Interfax, referencing the press service of the Organization.
According to that information, the initiative was voiced in CSTO Permanent Council Meeting. “The draft of the protocol on the amendments to CSTO Charter adopted on May 15, 1992 in the Agreement on Collective Security and entered into force on October 2, 2002 was studies, which was proposed by the Armenian side, relative to the new Constitution of the Republic of Armenia’s entry into force,” reads the release.
CSTO Permanent Council has made a decision to send the draft documents to inner-state agreement in 1 package.
