Tourists complain Putin on Upper Lars’s traffic jams

August 16,2018 16:53

The tourists, who appeared in the long traffic jams on the border between Russia and Georgia, have written a letter to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, informs “Gruzia Online”.

The petition holds that the tourists demanded to dismiss the border officers who were not able to fulfill their duties. The tourists were particularly concerned about the circumstance that checking each car on Georgian side took maximum 10 minutes, and on Russian side – at least half an hour. People, who wanted to pass their holidays in Georgia and Armenia or visit their relatives, had to wait on the Russian borders for hours.

According to the media agency, the experts also think that the issue has arisen on the Russian side, inasmuch as “green corridor” is not envisaged there, consequently, all people stand in the same queue.
