Former President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan gave an interview to Yerkir Media TV.
Kocharyan assured that he is ready to negotiate with Nikol Pashinyan on the Karabakh conflict emphasizing that he has never avoided negotiations. “Of course, I am ready. When did I avoid negotiations? You should have the courage to go and take the responsibility, negotiate and succeed, and not to run like a rabbit.”
The posture of Nikol Pashinyan on Karabakh conflict is not acceptable to him: “The first person in Armenia cannot wash his hands. We will see that he will go and negotiate. What does it mean to abandon the negotiation process? Can you imagine the consequences? The worst negotiations are better than a war.”
Kocharyan stated that he is an opposition and the main function of the oppositional politician is to prompt the authorities, to raise another opinion, because if you want to learn something you should interact with people who have different opinions.
