Lawyer Norayr Norikyan thinks that the third president of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, also needs to be subject to a criminal investigation regarding the events of March 1st. “Serzh Sargsyan was the ‘de jure’ prime minister. He agreed to the defense minister at the time, Mikayel Harutyunyan’s actions. These will serve as foundations during the investigation to charge him not only with not following the constitution, but also with other crimes,” Norayr Norikyan said in a meeting with journalists.
Regarding Nikol Pashinyan’s announcement that the events of March 1st have been completely uncovered (despite the fact that the investigations are ongoing), the lawyer thinks it was a political announcement. “We will fully discuss the uncovering of the events of March 1st when the people who ordered and carried out the deaths of ten citizens will have been discovered.”
