Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has labeled Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel’s visit to Armenia to be a historical one, especially with the major changes in Armenia being in the background.
Nikol Pashinyan announced this during a press conference with the chancellor, where both leaders spoke about the results of the visit. According to Nikol Pashinyan, discussions and negotiations took place regarding Armenia-EU and Armenia-Germany relations, as well as about several issues in the international agenda.
Both leaders’ viewpoints on these issues are similar. That, according to the Armenian prime minister, shows that both countries have great potential in working together.
With regard to goods turnover, Germany is Armenia’s second largest ally in the world and the first in Europe. Nikol Pashinyan hopes that there will be changes in the size and quality of goods turnover. The Armenian prime minister announced that there will be a similar agenda as a result of this visit, which will include specific topics and appropriate work will be completed in order to turn that agenda into a reality. Nikol Pashinyan did not make clearer announcements regarding Armenian-German relations.
