On 30 August, the Women Entrepreneurs’ Club will have its second meeting in the Armenian capital of Yerevan to discuss ways to connect people in business. The event is supported through the EU-funded SMEDA (Support to SME Development in Armenia) project implemented in the country under the EU4Business initiative.
The club gathers once a month to serve as an exchange platform for businesswomen. It aims to create a solid basis for interaction between strong and active women in society and young women who are planning to devise and/or promote their business ideas, learn from and be inspired by more experienced female leaders.
It is planned that, in the future, the club will also involve successful men to connect them with women in business, promoting future cooperation.
The SMEDA project supports the improvement of the business and investment climate for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Armenia. It aims to strengthen the private sector, support SME coordination mechanisms, and foster links between research institutions and the private sector, as well as providing access to finance for SMEs.
