Armenia and Serbia have expressed willingness to become members of a Russian-led international coalition for demining Syria. The head of the Russian General Staff’s Office for the Development of UAVS, Alexander Novikov, announced this, according to the “Vzglyad” newspaper.
“Similar requests have been sent to the defense departments of Iran, Egypt, Serbia, Armenia, Turkey, and the UAE. Armenia and Serbia are prepared to send units, and there is a possibility of including Chinese sappers as well,” Novikov said.
He mentioned that the Russian Defense Ministry is in charge of work involving the creation of the coalition.
