Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, member of the Republican Party Eduard Sharmazanov thinks that Nikol Pashinyan’s government has made many mistakes over the past three months, particularly in the field of foreign policy. They have made so many mistakes that they will slowly be able to cover the mistakes up.
“They announced on Republican Square that Armenian-Russian relations are great and are advancing wonderfully, but we don’t see any expectations. Over the past 25 years, whether it was under Ter-Petrosyan, Kocharyan, or Serzh Sargsyan, I haven’t heard any implications from the Russian side, especially not from the foreign minister, that the Armenian authorities are saying one thing but doing something else. You can’t advance Armenian-Russian relations through making toasts,” Sharmazanov said, noting that he has serious worries regarding the CSTO, and he mentioned Belarusian President Lukashenko’s announcement, that the position of CSTO Secretary-General wasn’t just randomly given to Armenia.
