Russian President Vladimir Putin and former President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan have had good relations for many years, which are not influenced at all by events taking place in Armenia. Spokesperson to the Russian president Dmitri Peskov said this to reporters, commenting on the phone call that took place between Putin and Kocharyan where Putin wished Kocharyan a happy birthday.
“You know that Putin and Kocharyan have been friends for many years, and their relationship is not affected by any events that take place in Armenia,” Peskov said.
When asked if Putin and Kocharyan spoke about Kocharyan’s criminal case, Peskov answered, “No.”
