Georgia and Azerbaijan are military allies. Our positive and close relations over the centuries have been exemplary. Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze announced this during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, “Georgia Online” reports.
The Georgian prime minister’s press service announced that the Azerbaijani president thanked the Georgian prime minister for his visit to Baku and considers the two countries’ positive relations to be of utmost importance.
“Over the centuries, our people have lived in a positive and close environment. Today, the relations between our two independent nations are situated on a strong base. Georgia and Azerbaijan have important plans set in place. Our transportation projects have great importance for Europe and Asia. Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey are actively working on those projects. I think that we need to put more effort into inventory turnover. I know that Georgia has a great climate for making investments. I am happy that Azerbaijan is the top country that invests in Georgia. Today we discussed many issues, including our collaboration in the region,” Aliyev said.
