Armenia will not be participating in the upcoming NATO Agile Spirit 2018 military trainings in Georgia. Spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan spoke to tert.am about this.
He said that he cannot give additional information at the moment.
Around 10 countries will be participating in the military trainings, including Bulgaria, Romania, Latvia, Ukraine, and Turkey.
The goal of these trainings is to promote a readiness in activity by NATO emergency forces or crisis response, as well as to improve links with the control center.
Four people represented Armenia in the Noble Partner 2018 military trainings in Georgia that took place from August 1st till 15th.
Armenia did not participate in last year’s NATO military trainings in Georgia as well. Georgia officially announced that Armenia is invited, but Yerevan officially rejected the offer to participate.
