Levon Aronian rises to 6th place on World Chess Federation rating list

The World Chess Federation published a list of its best chess masters in order for the month of September. Armenia’s best grandmaster, Levon Aronian, moved forward several steps from being in 13th place in August. He is listed between Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Anish Giri, who are in 5th and 7th place respectively.

The top ten list includes: Magnus Carlsen, Fabiano Caruana, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Ding Liren, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Levon Aronian, Anish Giri, Vladimir Kramnik, Wesley So, and Viswanathan Anand.
