“The “My Step” alliance that is participating in the Yerevan City Council elections was formed as a result of the Velvet Revolution,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on a Facebook live stream.
According to Pashinyan, these elections will be the first test of the new government and of the Velvet Revolution. Citizens who wish to support the revolution need to vote for the “My Step” alliance in Pashinyan’s opinion.
As Pashinyan said, the Yerevan City Council elections are the prelude to the parliamentary elections. Pashinyan hopes that, through the citizens’ powerful participation, worries about what will happen to the revolution that took place in May will be destroyed.
“I would like to participate in election campaigns for Yerevan mayor within legal limits,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
