September 04,2018 18:40

Turkey has plans to open a military base in Nakhichevan. Turkish journalist Ceynep Gyurcanlu shared this information in an article in the “Syozcu” newspaper.

Gyurcanlu, who referred to Russian-Turkish relations and collaborations emphasized that despite the fact that Turkey and Russia are allies in many cases, the two countries’ interests clash with one another on several issues, especially in the Caucasus.

“How much can Ankara and Moscow collaborate in the Caucasus? There is an important topic being discussed in Ankara behind closed doors: Turkey, after Somalia and Qatar, wants to open its third foreign military base in Nakhichevan and has already gotten to work. How would our new “military ally” respond to this?” the Turkish journalist said, reminding people of the strong military collaboration between Armenia and Russia.
