Pashinyan regarding Marutyan: ‘We must speak of brighter colors than black and white’

“I think there is a misunderstanding. Hayk Marutyan accepted that there are several descriptions that aren’t accurate,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters regarding Yerevan mayor candidate from the “My Step” alliance, actor Hayk Marutyan’s controversial announcement that they “can’t be beaten.” “Every political announcement needs to fit in with the logic of love and solidarity,” Pashinyan said.

Regarding Marutyan’s view that there are black and white forces in politics, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized, “We must speak of brighter colors than black and white.”

Commenting on the information that Pashinyan is getting ready to made Levon Ter-Petrosyan the president of Armenia, the prime minister said, “Let’s not be silly. President Armen Sargsyan was elected in March of this year and he will hold his position for seven more years.”

Pashinyan, regarding prisoner Shant Harutyunyan’s desire to hold a meeting with reporters, said, “I spoke to the Minister of Justice and demanded that he be given the opportunity to do so within the limits of the law. I don’t see any issue.”
