The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan held a meeting with the American Charge d’Affaires regarding American citizen Dan Bilzerian’s visit to Artsakh. Spokesperson of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hikmet Hajiyev said this to the haqqin.az newspaper.
According to the information, the minister gave the American diplomat a complaint written to the US Department of State that Dan Bilzerian “fired weapons and participated in other illegal activities in the occupied territories.”
Besides that, the complaint states that Bilzerian violated the Law on State Border and the Migration Code without “providing the proper paperwork… he entered Azerbaijan’s occupied territories from Armenia.”
“He participated in illegal promotion in Khankendi and other occupied territories, he illegally fired weapons towards the Azerbaijani military positions,” the announcement stated.
It says that the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan opened a criminal case and started the necessary process for Bilzerian to face criminal charges.
