“We are in the process of putting together the documentation of our plans. Our political party will advocate self-government and a democratic state,” said the spokesperson for the ‘Sasna Tsrer’ group, Varuzhan Avetisyan, who is also accused of occupying the Police Patrol Service Regiment.
He stated that the ‘Sasna Tsrer’ political party will have its first convention on September 29th in the government sessions hall. The party is also preparing to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Varuzhan Avetisyan did not specify what position the political party will take- whether it will create an alliance with a current political force, or if it will participate in the elections as a sole force. He also did not mention who will be put forth as the administrative members of the political party, and who will be the candidate for political party leader.
He mentioned that the party will not be participating in the Yerevan City Council elections, since the “Sasna Tsrer” initial convention will be held after the elections, which are to take place on September 23rd.
