“I can’t evaluate the announcements made by the investigative bodies. It won’t be right to state a evaluation, but it is a fact that the Armed Forces were dragged into the events of March 1st,” said Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan to reporters, regarding the announcement by SIS head Sasun Khachatryan, that oligarchs hired soldiers to participate in the events of March 1st and that the soldiers had fired upon homes.
“The involvement took place when they carried out their duties after a state of emergency had been declared. The investigation will show what happened outside of that,” Davit Tonoyan stated.
