On 26–27 September, the Ukrainian city of Odesa will host the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Panel on Migration, Mobility and Integrated Border Management.
The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the contribution of the panel to the implementation of the 20 EaP Deliverables for 2020, and to consider cooperation between the EU and Eastern Partner countries regarding the European Border Surveillance systems (EUROSUR), as well as in the field of customs, notably through the Customs Eastern and South-Eastern Land Border Expert Team (CELBET) initiative.
It is expected that the panel will organise the exchange of best practices on the basis of Ukrainian experience in inter-service cooperation on border security and smart border approaches. The EU support to the Eastern Partner countries in the area of Integrated Border Management will also be discussed at the event.
The EaP Panel on Migration, Mobility and Integrated Border Management succeeded from the EaP Panel on Migration and Asylum in accordance with the decisions of the Eastern Partnership Summit of November 2017.
