“Gagik Tsarukyan isn’t the person to do something against the people,” said parliamentarian from the “Tsarukyan” alliance, “Yerevantsi” alliance Yerevan mayor candidate Ararat Zurabyan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had announced that oligarchs played a role in the March 1st events.
“I invite you to read the “Armenian Times” newspaper, where it is clearly written that when a gathering took place where firing on the people was discussed, Gagik Tsarukyan was the only one who prevented such a decision, which only Serzh Sargsyan liked,” Ararat Zurabyan said.
Regarding the view that there have been publications suggesting the opposite, Ararat Zurabyan said, “But understand that you live in Armenia. When something like that happens in our reality, whoever doesn’t like an individual will always try to bring them down, just as when in 1995, people did things, and then said that they brought down the “Yerkir” newspaper.”
