“Everything was checked today at the “Yerevan Today” website’s headquarters, even, I think, everything we published since 2014, since they read and informed themselves about what has been going on in our country since then,” “Yerevan Today” editor Sevak Hakobyan told reporters at the 6th administrative division of the police after the search conducted by the investigative committee.
The editor said that nine people came who held phone discussions during that time. “A huge system was working. I have difficulty saying right now what was leading that group. We’ll understand what happened and will make an announcement. I don’t know what they wanted. They couldn’t find whatever they wanted, but they did take things. Now, if they need to find something, then they will. It was written that our newspaper wrote about that recording before everyone else and it was assumed that we were the ones who recorded it. They checked everything. They took everything out of drawers and they checked all the computers,” Hakobyan said.
According to the editor, after the search, they took 4-5 CDs, and the work of the website stopped.
