Armenian serviceman killed during Azerbaijani shooting

On September 19th at approximately 1:30 PM, according to preliminary data, contract serviceman, private Haykaz Babken Matevosyan (born 1980, serving in Tavush since 2011) received a gunshot wound in the neck while Azerbaijan was shooting at one of the military positions located at the north-eastern portion of the Armenian border.

Haykaz Matevosyan died while being transported to the military hospital.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia extends its deepest condolences to the soldier’s family members, loved ones, and colleagues.
