“Yerevan’s elections are simply elections for the local self-government system and cannot serve as a basis for dissolving parliament,” Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov told Aravot in an interview, speaking about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s announcement.
“When you vote for the “My Step” alliance, you’re also voting for the dissolvement of parliament,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the election campaign for the “My Step” alliance.
“Pashinyan obviously got everything mixed up. He himself established the constitution. The National Assembly was elected legally and needs to work until 2022, despite any local self-government election results. But I need to respond to Pashinyan’s wish like this: You’re not satisfied with what you have, you want a lot more.’”
