On 24–26 September, officials from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova will visit Slovenia to learn about best practices in the field of alcohol control. This knowledge should help Moldova to establish all necessary mechanisms for an effective system of supervision of alcohol control in line with international and European practice.
The study visit will provide information on the rules and conditions of advertising, selling and increasing excise duties on alcoholic products. It will also focus on the procedures for harmonising with EU laws in the field and the establishment of counselling services and treatment for alcohol addiction.
The visit is being organised by the European Commission’s Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX), in cooperation with the Market Inspectorate of Republic of Slovenia.
