At the event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian parliament, the head of the NSS, Artur Vanetsyan, answered a question from a reporter regarding the case against the former mayor of Yerevan, Taron Margaryan.
“Taron Margaryan was questioned as a witness. Taron Margaryan accepted several violations which have been disclosed. At this moment, approximately 1,820,000,000 dram was confirmed by the Ministry of Finance’s appropriate administrative body during investigations. That money needs to be returned to the state budget. The head of the “Yerevan” foundation has already given his written permission for that money to be returned,” Artur Vanetsyan said.
Artur Vanetsyan also mentioned that soon, there will be more discoveries. “Two days ago, we found large amounts of drugs. There will also be high-ranking officials,” the head of the NSS said.
