A case was filed in court against NSS head Artur Vanetsyan. The one who filed it was Sedrak Kocharyan, the son of second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan. The court system informed that the plaintiff accused him of slander and demanded that he pay compensation and publicly deny what he had said. But “Past Info” was unable to find out what specifically it was that Kocharyan demanded Vanetsyan deny.
The head of the NSS edited several of his announcements about Robert Kocharyan and stated that this was due to him speaking fast.
“I only want to make one correction. During my press conference, I spoke about bribes worth six million dollars, do you remember that (he was speaking about Kocharyan giving bribes worth six million dollars to purchase a hotel franchise)? That was a result of me speaking too quickly. It wasn’t through bribes, but instead it was through illegally acquiring the money that he was able to purchase the hotel,” Vanetsyan announced.
Sedrak Kocharyan, according to the Datalex information system, also filed a case against political scientist, former head of the “Modus Vivendi” center, Ara Papian.
Sedrak Kocharyan demanded 2 million dram in compensation for slander, as well as public denial. There are no further details regarding what it is specifically that he wants to be denied, according to “1in.am.”
