On 21 September, a group of 25 people with disabilities climbed Mount Aragats in Armenia. The ascent was organised by an EU-funded project that seeks to promote the social rights of Armenians living with disabilities.
“Disability is not a barrier to [an] active lifestyle,” said EU Ambassador to Armenia Piotr Świtalski, who took part in the ascent.
“The EU is committed to promoting the engagement of people with disabilities in outdoor recreation and sports and eliminating all barriers to their participation,” he added.
