Second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan demands that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan publicly apologize for slandering him. He has already filed a lawsuit in court. Kocharyan’s lawyer Hayk Alumyan said that they have decided not to discuss the lawsuit in detail at the moment.
“The lawsuit is regarding Mr. Pashinyan’s statement when he said: ‘What does immunity mean? So you can organize the deaths of people and then say that you’re immune?’ We believe that the prime minister allowed for a violation of the ‘innocent until proven guilty’ presumption and for slander,” said lawyer Hayk Alumyan.
Kocharyan only demands that the prime minister apologize. The second president does not want any financial compensation.
