On 21–23 September, the Azerbaijani region of Nakhchivan hosted Europe Days for the first time. The event was attended by the EU Delegation to the country, diplomats from EU Member States, representatives of European cultural and education centres, resident experts from EU-funded projects, Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) and Baku-based journalists.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation visited the city’s famous landmarks. On 22 September, EU diplomats visited the Haydar Aliyev museum and met with the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vasif Talibov.
They also attended several presentations at Nakhchivan State University, Nakhchivan Private University and eight schools.
Meanwhile, local students met with YEAs and got acquainted with the Erasmus+ programme.
