The captain of the Armenian national football team and London’s Arsenal team, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is considered to be one of the top faces in the Armenian media, expressed that in reality, the top ambassador of Armenia was Charles Aznavour. “What Charles Aznavour did is incomparable to what I have done and what I do. There are people who are not interested in football, but instead enjoy art, and therefore, Aznavour is whom they look to.”
The death of the maestro shocked Mkhitaryan. “We lost a great artist. Aznavour’s works and his dedication to Armenia will always remain in our hearts. You will always remain formidable for me and for everyone,” the footballer said.
