There have been many investments coming from countries all around the world in August and September. The prime minister’s top advisor Armen Gasparyan said this to reporters after the government session. “I need to say that the political changes which have taken place in Armenia are looked upon positively by our business colleagues, regardless of where they are from,” he said.
Regarding Pashinyan’s assurances that quick snap elections are imperative for advancing the economy and, since there is still a political crisis in the country and snap elections have not taken place yet, there are still uncertainties for investors and in the economy, Gasparyan said that snap elections are the demand of the people.
“This political situation will not have any impact on the economy whatsoever since Armenia’s condition is stable. The mayoral elections were the result of a political reality. That political reality will also be recorded after the parliamentary elections. Snap elections have nothing to do with investors and businesspeople. All investors and businesspeople who have come to our office or to the government and are interested in many projects first speak about the changes that took place in Armenia. Foreign investors are interested in the political changes that have taken place,” Gasparyan said.
