On October 6th, at the Armenian Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paris, in a ceremony presided over His Holiness Catholicos Garegin II of All Armenians, world-famous singer, son of Armenia, national hero of Armenia Charles Aznavour’s funeral ceremony took place.
At the end of the funeral, the Catholicos gave a speech for Aznavour’s family, state figures from the Republic of Armenia, and others who were present.
The Catholicos said, “Sadness has shrouded all of our spirits. We have gathered to say goodbye to world-famous son of Armenia, singer, great figure in culture, National hero of the Republic of Armenia, Charles Aznavour. We are leading him to eternity, where the followers of the Lord inherit eternal life and the divine gifts of bliss and peace.”
