Prince Albert II first thanked the Armenian government for their grand hospitality at the Francophonie Summit. He said that he is happy to be a party of this valuable system, which ties them together in combating challenges such as terrorism and migration. “Overall, this happens frequently during political crises, which makes the values of the Francophonie Summit even more important. We are responsible for spreading these values to the citizens of all countries that are a part of this organization. The Francophonie organization has a lot of work to do especially in promoting gender equality and combating extremism. The amount of countries that want to join our organization is a symbol of its success. Monaco supports the development of all these values and it supports spreading these values across the internet. We also should make every effort to stop the spread of poverty. I emphasize the importance of education.”
At the end of his speech, he said that he respects the memory of the ambassador of the French language, the great artist, and the great poet. “I express my deep respect for Charles Aznavour. Charles led by his famous words: “My country is the French language.” This statement gives meaning to our organization and our gathering today.”
