The Canadian prime minister then visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, where he wrote in the honorable guests’ guestbook. He wrote that he respects the memory of those who lost their lives. He said that Canadians will always stand against hatred and will not allow history to repeat itself. “Today, we remember the victims of the Armenian Genocide and we promise to not allow history to repeat itself.”
Trudeau also planted a pine tree at the memorial.
