The mayor of Grenoble, France, Eric Piolle, visited Lake Sevan with the members of his delegation.
“Despite the fact that I have only been here for a few hours, I am very impressed. I love this mountainous country. Armenia is at the center of the world’s attention and that’s also because of Charles Aznavour,” the Grenoble mayor said. He emphasized the importance of the Armenian community in Grenoble, which is numbered at about 3,500 Armenians.
Guests enjoyed a concert that was organized by French students, they visited the “Boheme” studio-teahouse, and the mayors of both Sevan and Grenoble made agreements with one another.
Mayor Piolle thanked the mayor of Sevan, Sargis Muradyan, for his hospitality, and invited Muradyan to Grenoble.
