Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov is in the Czech Republic. He has meetings with representatives of military industrial organizations scheduled as part of his agenda. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Armenia, Petr Mikyska, spoke to reporters about whether or not there’s a possibility of Czech weapons being sold to the Azerbaijani army again. “The Armenian Minister of Defense also went to the Czech Republic two years ago and held meetings with representatives of military industrial organizations. Holding such meetings does not mean that weapons definitely will be sold.”
Approximately one year ago, “DANA” self-propelled artillery was discovered in Azerbaijan. The ambassador said regarding this, “Those weapons were not sold directly by the Czech Republic. They purchased those weapons from Slovakia.”
According to Petr Mikyska, “The Czech Republic remains loyal to the agreement that it will not sell weapons to either side of the Artsakh conflict.”
