Former President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan gave an interview to the RIA Novosti Russian agency, where he announced that he is preparing to create an opposition political party. “If you are planning to return to politics, then you must think about that,” he said.
He also said that he has no intention of holding any high-ranking position. “If I had such intentions, then I wouldn’t have lived a private life for the past ten years.”
He said that he will not be participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections because he simply has no time. “I wasn’t a member of any party, which means that I would have to create a new party from zero.”
He also mentioned that, taking into consideration the situation, new, talented, young, and energetic individuals need to be a part of the government.
